Winning Takes Work, Passion and Commitment
Staying on a Winning path requires W O R K. Did you know that Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team? Michael was refused a scholarship at North Carolina State. Tom Brady was the 199th pick in the NFL draft. Six quarterbacks were picked before Brady. Both Jordan and Brady willed and worked their way to become winners. You have the same option. Becoming a winner. It is what you DO that makes the difference. This is true in sports, in relationships, and in making opportunity a reality. Take a moment to grade yourself on each of these three characteristics that we observe in people who have “made it”:
- Believe in Themselves
- Follow Their Passion
- Refuse to Quit
What do you think? Ever see a course offered in any of those three “subjects” at any level of education? I haven’t. I am one of those people who is over-schooled and under-educated. I admit that I have had ups and downs. With the advantage of hindsight, I know my “downs” occurred when I was not passionately involved in my current interest. All three of the above characteristics are part of commitment. Commitment must be unfailing. What does all of that come to? Winning is ALL up to you. Your future is always in your hands. That’s the good news. The only bad news possibly occurs if you do not fully engage with belief, passion and steadfastness.
